Overview
Program of 15 days and 14 nights to admire what remains of the splendor of the Maya culture in Mexico and Guatemala, including sites such as Chichén Itzá and Tikal.
Itinerary
Day 01
Europe – Mexico City
Arrival in Mexico City and transfer to the hotel.
Day 02
Mexico City – Teotihuacán – Mexico City
Visit the Guadalupe Shrine, Three Cultures Square and Teotihuacán archaeological site. Overnight in Mexico City.
Day 03
Mexico City Tour – Guatemala City
Visit the Anthropology Museum, National Palace, Zócalo Square and Metropolitan Cathedral. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Guatemala City. Arrival and overnight in Guatemala.
Day 04
Guatemala – Chichicastenango – Panajachel
Visit Chichicastenango market with time for shopping, then transfer to Panajachel. Overnight in Panajachel.
Day 05
Panajachel – Lake Atitlán – Antigua
Take a boat trip across Lake Atitlán and continue to Antigua Guatemala for a town visit. Overnight in Antigua.
Day 06
Antigua – Guatemala City – Flores
Visit Antigua, including the La Azotea Coffee Museum and K’ojom Music Museum. In the afternoon, drive to the airport for the flight to Flores; ticket not included. Overnight in Flores.
Day 07
Flores – Tikal – Flores
Visit Tikal, where the highest structures offer breathtaking views over the jungle. Return to Flores.
Day 08
Flores – Bethel – Yaxchilán – Palenque
Transfer to the Bethel border, take a boat on the Usumacinta River to the Mexican border at Corozal and continue to Yaxchilán. Visit Yaxchilán, then continue to Palenque for the night.
Day 09
Palenque – Agua Azul – San Cristóbal
Visit Palenque archaeological site, continue to Agua Azul waterfalls and then transfer to San Cristóbal. Overnight.
Day 10
San Cristóbal – Sumidero Canyon – Villahermosa
Visit San Cristóbal de las Casas, then continue to Sumidero Canyon for a boat ride through its cliffs. Continue to Villahermosa for the night.
Day 11
Villahermosa – Campeche
Depart to Campeche. On arrival, visit the city and overnight in Campeche.
Day 12
Campeche – Cacao Museum – Uxmal – Mérida
Depart to Mérida and visit the Cacao Museum and Uxmal archaeological site on the way. Continue to Mérida for the night.
Day 13
Mérida – Chichén Itzá – Cancún
Visit Mérida city, then depart to Chichén Itzá archaeological site. Continue to Cancún for the night.
Day 14
Leisure in Cancún
Leisure at the beach with an all-inclusive program.
Day 15
Cancún – Departure
Transfer to Cancún Airport for your flight home.
